As I previously expressed my fondness for Bipa’s lipliner in Bonbon, I couldn’t pass the shelf without checking the rest of the lipliners ever again. Many beauty bloggers have been enjoying the lipliner in the shade Orchid and after a simple swatch, I needed to buy it. It is as creamy as the lipliner in Bonbon, but this color is absolutely breathtaking.
The deep red color shows hints of berry in its beauty and I find that it looks stunning on its own. If you remember my post about Mac’s Diva lipstick, you might recall that I was also looking for a burgundy lipliner to go with it, preferably non-Mac, as I wasn’t keen on spending €14.50 for a simple lip liner. When swatched next to each other, Diva and Orchid show visible differences in undertones. Also, Orchid is lighter, and does show those slight hints of pink/purple. Nevertheless, when applied together, I find that the lipliner prevents Diva’s occasional patchiness extremely well and offers a solid base for the lipstick.
If you are looking for a lipliner suitable for Diva or enjoying Orchid’s beautiful color on its own, you need to get this lipliner. At €1.79, it most definitely won’t damage your wallet and your collection will, just like mine, be a wonderful shade richer.
