Another very soft shade I like to wear during the week is 04 Rose Tweed by Bourjois Rouge lipstick. Both Rose Tweed and Peche Cosy, which is already on the blog, belong to the Preppy part of the collection – six soft pinks, peaches and nudes.
The formula of these lipsticks is very creamy, they are very easy to apply and the finish is slightly glossy. You don’t need much to get good coverage. Despite of their creaminess, the lasting effect of these lipsticks is surprisingly good. Usually, I am a die hard matte lipstick fan, but these come with such a slight sheen to them, a characteristic I’ve grown very fond of. Their plastic packaging is something very typical for a drugstore lipstick, but still durable. Some of the “Rouge Edition” letters have started peeling off of the Rose Tweed packaging, and I expect them to disappear completely by summer. I cannot describe the scent specifically, but it’s very light so it shouldn’t cause any headaches.
I feel like these lipsticks barely get any attention next to the gorgeous Velvets this brand has brought out recently. Though they are not the cheapest option around, they really do deliver charming colors and a ton of moisture for the price of about €12. Do have a look at them next time you’re close to the Bourjois counter! They don’t disappoint. :)
